Agile turtles challenge - a fun 2 in 1 activity

The Agile Turtles wooden game from Italian brand Milaniwood will give your little ones two ways to play: throw the turtles as close to the big stone or stack them as high as possible. Stimulating tortudes for your little ones: they promote the development of concentration and hand-eye coordination.

A perfect wooden game for the development of coordination eye-hand

Despite the fact that this 2 in 1 game is very simple, The Agile Turtles of Milaniwood contributes to the development of concentration, but especially eye-hand coordination. Without coordinated control of eye and hand movements, performing simplistic tasks like catching a ball would be complex. The game of pétanque makes it possible in particular to work on visual perception (of distances), which is coordinated with the performance of almost all movements of the human body. Dosing the force of a throw according to the distance from the wood stone is in itself quite a challenge for a toddler! Finding the ideal point of contact so that the deposited turtle is balanced is also an exercise which develops dexterity, patience and an important observation capacity.

The Turtle Race: Like the game of pétanque, a starting line is demarcated and the wooden stone is thrown from a distance of at least 70-80 centimeters. The further the stone is thrown, the more the difficulty level increases. Each participant, who will have chosen his turtle color, positions one of his 4 turtles on the chosen starting line and slides it on the board, throwing it as close as possible to the wooden stone. In no case can a player touch or move a thrown turtle or the stone.

If a turtle lands on its back, it is offside. It can remain on the game board until the end of the game, but it is no longer considered valid, unless it is hit by another turtle and falls on its stomach. Once all the turtles have been thrown, the winner of the game is the one who has the turtle closest to the wooden stone.

The turtle tower: The stone is used as a base on which to lay the turtles. It can be used with the flat part facing downwards or upwards depending on the level of difficulty chosen. Place the eight turtles one on top of the other on the stone. They can be stacked with the shell facing upwards or vice versa. When one or more turtles fall, it is the opponent's turn, who will in turn build a new tower. The winner is the one who succeeds in superimposing the greatest number of stable turtles.

Milaniwood's ecological footprint

Milaniwood is a company based in Milan and created in the early 2000s by a company working in the field of wood, and this, for 4 generations. Any game produced in their workshops is manufactured with the greatest respect for the raw materials used and the implementation of beneficial practices for the well-being of its employees is valued at all times. All wood used in manufacturing comes from managed forests responsibly from an environmental and social point of view. The paint is non-toxic and without any ingredient of animal origin; the use of recycled materials is increasingly important.
