The first collection of short stories directly inspired by Montessori pedagogy.
«It's Christmas Eve, and Liv and Émy are going to their cousins' house. They prepared and wrapped the gifts. Along the way, Émy sees Santa Claus everywhere. But the real santa claus exists ?
Emy remains a little puzzled by his existence. She decides to do like everyone else and believe it, even if she is pretending.»
It’s a cute children's story that we find here. It's very sweet and very simple, inspired by real life. The existence of Santa Claus is always a big question for children. Here, the magic happens and we remain on an open end that will appeal to young and old alike.
This is a work from the first collection of short stories inspired by Montessori pedagogy. The approach is therefore very different from what is usually offered on the Christmas theme. It opens up the possibility for the child to think for himself and wonder about the existence of Santa Claus, just as the two little heroines of the tale do.
This book presents us with different ways of approaching storage and classification:
- The story is simple, the sentences are short (1 sentence per page on average). It is really a work adapted for the youngest.
- The illustrations are imbued with poetry and delicacy. The illustrator, Roberta Rocchi, is Italian and has already illustrated several books on this pedagogy.
- The author: Eve Hermann specializes in Montessori pedagogy and is president of the association EMA (Montessori Education Today) whose objective is the promotion and implementation of Montessori pedagogy.
- The final double page which offers an activity related to the theme of the book is a great idea
