From birth, babies want to see and touch in order to understand their environment. Maria Montessori has imagined quality material for him. It allows the baby to:
A single color associated with wood, so as not to over-stimulate the child's brain. The cards are in black and white since at birth, the baby's eye is not exercised. Up to 2 months, the infant mainly sees the contours. Then he acquires the ability to detail an object, an image. Presenting him with simple animal silhouettes, naming them, arouses his curiosity and familiarizes him with the first words.
