About the authors
Jim Field is an award-winning illustrator, character designer and animation director. Jim has worked on a wide variety of projects, from music videos and title sequences to advertising and picture books. He regularly collaborates with Rachel Bright (The Lion Inside), Kes Gray (Oi Frog!) and Julian Gough (Rabbit & Bear). He has also illustrated children's books with Michael Morpurgo, Michelle Robinson, Jeanne Willis, Steve Cole, comedian David Baddiel and J.K.Rowling.
Rachel is a writer of words, a drawer of pictures and a champion of the good stuff. She exhibits a lot, writes tirelessly and often creates slightly unhinged characters. Her writing includes children's stories and poems, clever advertising copy and much more. Her illustration work is a smorgasbord of giant hand-printed poems, incredibly detailed gouache illustrations and a cacophony of eccentric prints and etchings. She explores the love of words and the magic of images, delighting in a world of jam-eating miniature bears and other invented animals.
