About the authors
Jim Field is an award-winning illustrator, character designer, and animation director. Jim has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from music videos and title sequences to advertising and picture books. He regularly collaborates with Rachel Bright (The Lion Inside), Kes Gray (Oi Frog!), and Julian Gough (Rabbit & Bear). He has also illustrated children's books with Michael Morpurgo, Michelle Robinson, Jeanne Willis, Steve Cole, comedian David Baddiel, and J.K. Rowling.
Rachel is a writer of words, a drawer of pictures, and a champion of the bright side. She exhibits a lot, writes relentlessly, and often creates slightly off-kilter characters. Her writing includes childrenâs stories and poems, clever advertising copy, and much more. Her illustration work is a buffet of giant hand-printed poems, incredibly detailed gouache illustrations, and a cacophony of eccentric prints and engravings. She explores the love of words and the magic of images, delighting in a world of miniature jam-eating bears and other invented animals.
