About the author
India Desjardins is the author of the popular series Le journal d'Aurélie Laflamme (Intouchables, 2006), which was then adapted for the cinema in 2010. Sold over a million copies in Quebec, this series in eight volumes is now published in several countries including France, Germany, Italy and Portugal. India has also written for adults in the collectives Cherchez la femme (which she also directed; Québec Amérique, 2011), Amour et libertinage, par les thirtynaires d'hui (400 Coups, 2011) and Miroirs (VLB editor , 2013). In 2012, she published The Bachelor (comic book co-signed by illustrator Magalie Foutrier, Éditions Michel Lafon), then, in 2013, Le Noël de Marguerite (illustrated by Pascal Blanchet, Éditions de La Pastèque). She is collaborating on the writing of the next show by Sugar Sammy and Simon-Olivier Fecteau, which will be broadcast on V Télé in the winter of 2014.
