BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, it shows the beauty of being different, the strength and determination it takes to find your place anyway, and the importance of love and kindness from those around you.

About the author
India Desjardins is a prolific Quebec writer and screenwriter. After a career as a journalist for Cool! and Clin d’œil magazines, she devoted herself to writing youth fiction, essays, graphic novels, and screenplays for film and television.

She is best known as the author of the popular Le Journal d’Aurélie Laflamme series, published from 2006 to 2018, which sold over two million copies in the French-speaking world. The series inspired two film adaptations in 2010 and 2015.
