The Stratégie de retour au calme poster is designed to equip children to manage their emotions a little more independently. For example, when a big emotion comes up, you can accompany your child to a quiet corner where he or she can choose a strategy to try and calm the emotion, whether it's fear, sadness, anger or excitement. Once a little calmer, your child will then be more available to discuss with you what happened, how it made him feel, and what he can do next time.
